2017 Mazda CX-5 review- Do you know what an emotionless segment was predominantly? The Mazda CX-5 never really found its footing. It was always a joy to drive, but lacks them to be practical qualities with more established rivals. So is the second generation 2017 Mazda CX-5 complete package.
2017 Mazda CX-5 Interior
Let’s begin inside, with the 2017 Mazda CX-5 pushes the boundaries of what a non luxury interior can be. From real French stitching across the dash and upper door panels, to well cushioned knee and armrests, the elegant piano black trim pieces, that scratched simply by looking at them the wrong way. The 2017 Mazda CX-5 interior looks and feels a class above.
The seats are generally comfortable, but would benefit greatly from tons more lumbar support. A lumbar lover is going to be why well. But row back and the CX-5 becomes a practicality Wonderland. You’ll find rear vents, declinable seats, with aperture rear doors it should make it a little bit easier to load number little ones. A height adjustable power lift gate and cargo area seat releases for every seat.
2017 Mazda CX-5 Carplay
Building on that functional feature set, is Mazda’s touch and remote operated entertainment system that, despite lacking support for apple Carplay and android auto, is an absolute joy to use. In addition to its intuitive layout and speedy reaction times, Mazda connects high mounted display, an ergonomic remote control allow you to toggle between various menus without ever taking your eyes off the road. It one of only a handful of human-machine interfaces and actually makes sense from behind the wheel.
The same goes for the brakes that said unless you get a particularly boring life, you're not going to find the 2017 Mazda CX-5 or any vehicle in this class fun to drive. But the Mazda is the most balanced and willing small crossover in the corners. We’ve 187 horsepower two and a half meter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder, well isn't really.
2017 Mazda CX-5 AWD
Never have I found myself frustrated by a shortage of power. The CX-5 definitely handles at a much higher level that it accelerated. Even so power is distributed and delivered smoothly, thanks in part to a smartly calibrated 6-speed automatic transmission, and optional performance oriented all-wheel-drive system. And the interest of fuel economy, our AWD tester returned 28.3 mpg on the highway and an average speed of 72 miles an hour. a respectable number indeed, it's still nearly three mpg shy of the more powerful Honda CR-V.
2017 Mazda CX-5 Pricing
With a starting and ending price of $25,000 and $33,500 respectively the 2017 Mazda CX-5 shares a similar pricing structure with the well rounded Honda CR-V, stylish Nissan Rogue, and blatantly unrefined Toyota RAV4. While also checking in thousands less than loaded versions of the feature-rich Ford Escape titanium and spacious Chevy Equinox.
2017 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring Model
loaded Grand Touring models adding 19-inch wheels that have the nominal effect on ride quality, LED headlights, a superb sounding Bose audio system, heated steering wheel and heated rear seats, as well as active safety aides like adaptive cruise control a traffic jam support, pre-collision braking and Lane Keeping Assist.
All of which transmit sensor data, directly to the full-color head-up display. is ventilated front seats, a panoramic moonroof and a 360-degree camera system though most have features, consider this a fatal blow to your dreams of owning a CX-5. and while on the retail front the CX-5 trails the Honda CR-V and Kia Sportage by a few percentage points, it is projected to retain slightly higher residuals and that of the Nissan Rogue, Toyota RAV4 and Ford Escape.
So it seems Mazda's holistic approach to the CX-5 has paid off. A side from a few minor misses, the latest 2017 Mazda CX-5 should be a big hit.
